About Me

Youssef Chbani

Electrical & Computer Engineering student at Texas A&M University at Qatar, with a passion for technology, community service, and continuous learning.

Background

Welcome to my personal website. Here you can find information about my journey and personal interests. Originally from Morocco, I moved to Qatar to pursue my education and have since become deeply involved in the campus community.

Outside of academics, I enjoy exploring creative outlets, staying active through sports, and contributing to causes I care about. This page highlights some of the activities and interests that define who I am beyond the classroom.

Beyond Academics

Animal Welfare Initiative

After arriving in Qatar, I became involved in caring for stray cats in the dorms. Along with a group of like-minded individuals, I help care for cats across Education City, including daily feeding and looking after abandoned animals.

Table Tennis

I started playing table tennis as a way to stay active and socialize. The sport is accessible across all branch campuses and the student center, making it easy to find practice partners. I won the IEEE Table Tennis Competition and continue to play regularly, enjoying both the physical exercise and the competitive aspect of the game.

Multilingual Background

I am fluent in Arabic and French as native languages, and proficient in English (TOEFL 101, SAT 1350). This multilingual background has enhanced my communication skills and cultural awareness, valuable assets in today's global engineering environment.

Music

Guitar playing serves as a creative outlet and a way to unwind from academic responsibilities. Music provides balance and helps maintain perspective alongside technical pursuits.
